Question:
Do people really make money from answering surveys at home?

I have found several online jobs where you answer surveys and get paid for everyone you answer. This particular one you get paid every 2 weeks just like a real job. Has anyone tried these and been successful or are they just a scam?

They might pay you every 2 weeks, but trust me, it's not nearly enough to make a living. Also, the surveys you are often asked to do are highly specialized and require certain qualifications. I belong to a survey site called e-rewards, and maybe once a week (2-3x, if I'm lucky), I get a request to participate. I try to respond to all of them, but at least half the time I get a message saying either sorry, you're not fully qualified for the survey, or that they've already collected the maximum number of allowable participants for that particular survey. They pay me about 50 cents just for answering requests. If I'm lucky enough to meet their qualifications and get in early enough to take the full survey, I get about $5, and typically they take about 30 minutes to fill out ($2.50 an hour...what a deal, huh?)

And believe me, you can't cheat on these to force your way in...they ask for certain age groups and you never know which one they're looking for, or they ask you questions about completely different product types you've bought during the past year and you never know which specific answer will qualify you. My total so far? About $50 over six months.

So technically yes, you can make money, but only a little on the side. Don't count on making thousands or even a few hundred a month. And if you're unemployed, you might as well forget it, because you're probably not buying their products anyway.

Filling out an online survey is easy and only takes about 5-20 minutes of your time. You can earn anywhere from $4-$75 for each survey you fill out, you can also win valuable prizes and receive free products. You may also wish to join survey panels (focus groups) which will take more of your time but pays more money. There is no time schedule to follow with these surveys. Nothing to tie you down, you can fill the surveys out over the Internet, day or night, whenever it is convenient for you. Spend as little or as much time as you wish - the more surveys you complete, the more you will earn.

However, it is important that you research LEGIT survey company's before you join. You usually get what you pay for and if it's too good to be true, than it is.

If you are looking for a survey site, i have something for you. I make almost $1000 every week from survey adventure and its a best paying SURVEY site I have ever seen. Happiest part is that Registration is FREEE and you dont need to pay anythingentirely on your own efforts. But that's a pretty good trade-off in my opinion, especially for the beginner who is looking to just earn some extra money online. You may have some idea on how to make money online here,

Any site that asks for money, OR you don't understand how the money is made, OR its too good to be true (get rich fast scheme) run! Surveys are hard, not a lot of them out there that you can qualify for, plus they take time. Usually like 30 minutes for $3. Did it, doesn't pay. What I do and its totally free. Forever. I'm off with a broken hand, so it HAS to be free. If you want contact me and I will send you the website. The video explains it all. You will be able to tell if its for you. Good luck.

Well I have used a few companies but none that pay you every two weeks. Most companies I have found send you around 2 surveys per month or more and checks come about 6 weeks later. Not much money in it though. If you signe up with a few reliable companies sometimes you can make a hundred bucks. I have a yahoo page that I will be updating as I find more companies that actually do pay. It lists which ones I use and why.

Over the past several years I have researched many survey companies that claim to pay you hundreds of dollars a year, but do you know what I've found? Most of them are scams! Yes, they will send you many survey's, but the unfortunate part is, you won't be "eligible" for most of them.

You see, in order to actually take a survey and get paid for it with most survey companies, you have to fill out a "pre-survey" that will include your geographical area, age, race, sex, etc. Most of the time you simply won't fit the "criteria" they need in order to take the actual survey.

Throughout my research, I consistantly found companies that request money in order to start up as well. Again, most of these were scams that simply take your money and you never hear from them again. Upon contacting them, you will occasionally receive a response claiming that they don't have any survey's for you currently but hope to soon and blah, blah, blah!

Occasionally I would find a survey company that offered a website where you could actually choose your own survey's, unfortunately, the links were often dead ends and I never received any real money from most of them.

On the brighter side of things, I did find a few companies that are legitimate. They offer numerous survey's each day and often times I can't keep up with the survey's they send.

There are a small fee for some of them, but I have honestly made that back tenfold!

Not any that I belong to... there are a few that tell you that you can make all this money from doing these surveys, but all they care about is you REFERRING people to their sites to sign up and do the surveys too. THAT's where the money is at... you get $1-$2 a pop. Not much. You'd really have to hustle AND you'd have to be sure that the people you invite do it too.

For every legitimate company you find, you'll find at least 100 scams. There ARE companies that will pay you to complete surveys, but you will not make a living at it (or even come close). Check out this website: www.freelancebyu.com the webqueen here actually does make money on things like that, but, it's not going to be enough to pay the bills. She has some links to legitimate companies that actually do pay.

Having so many paid surveys available all the time lets you live the kind of life you want.

I travel with my family 3 or 4 months every year! While I'm on vacation, I love to take paid surveys while relaxing on the beach. I can pay for my entire stay in just a few hours of taking surveys!

hi, NO YOU CANT......the ONLY ONLY website that pays $5 a survey is http://www.pineconeresearch.com. You cant just apply. They make it to where they post advertisements on a bunch of websites and by clicking on them, it directs you to there application page. Thats the ONLY way. They do this, so they can get a diverse group of people. I am a member and have one survey. Got my $3 check 2 days later. I get surveys constantly, but i dont do them anymore. They will probably kick me off, but i dont have time for that. I got one today as a matter of fact. I saved the link to the website i found the banner on, and they advertise their a lot. Its http://forum.volition.com/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1391&whichpage=1.

As a matter of fact, this is a forum about it. But you will see an advertisement on the top right corner. Sometimes it appears, sometimes it doesnt. If you want to do this...this is the ONLY true website.....TRUST me.

Hope this helps

I tried and most are scams or you can't get paid until you reach a certain amount that seems unattainable. I did receive 30 dollars in the mail once for doing a phone survey. It actually came in the mail in cash. Three 10 dollar bills. That was worth it.

These things are BOGUS! The surveys are NOT productive of anything and at best you can expect to make pennies an hour, if they pay you at all. and the answering emails bit, just don't go there! There is NO magical internet pot of gold! SNOT REEL! .

That is a scam. If they are legit and are willing to pay anybody who will work for them online, like you said, process mails, then why would they charge for registration fee? Stay away from it buddy, before you lose your dough!
