I am a sophomore in high school and I am very interested in business. I especially like entrepreneurship and stocks. I am trying to think of ideas for a small business to make money and get the experience of attempting to start a little business. I want to take some time to read some books on business and how to start a business for teenagers and also stock market investing. Do you have any suggestions on books that would be good for me to read?(I can read high level books)

Honestly, they "XXX for Dummies" books are great for beginners. They aren't too basic that you'll get frustrated and they are advanced enough to actually provide some knowledge. Once you've read them (Investing for Dummies is really good), you'll know what other books you should be reading.

Since you're so young, you've got plenty of time. Start with "How To Win Friends And Influence People" by Dale Carnegie. If you've got the resources, take the whole course in your town, it's in the phone book. All salesmanship seminars are based on the principles in this book, anyway. Then spend some time knocking on doors and physically selling something like band candy or raffle tickets, magazine subscriptions. Get your toes wet in how to spin a line on your product. You can do all this between now and the end of the school year.

When you're selling stocks, you'll have to already have developed some charisma. Once you know how to sell, you can sell anything. Intangibles like stocks and insurance are the hardest. Get talented at it and you can write your own ticket.

Reading the booklet instead of observing the movie is the ultimate way to see what the author intended. Reading uses your thoughts, hones your reading skills, and can improve your vocabulary
