I'm thinking about starting my own community magazine and need help!?

Question

A friend of mine has started making his own magazine in the area where I'm from and I'd like to start my own one in the new area I've moved to.

The magazine itself is more of a form of junk mail, it's free, and gets hand delivered to every door in the area, and all the local shops and places where magazines get read (i.e hairdressers, waiting rooms etc.).

The first magazine he made had a rather eye catching front cover of a small pug puppy with a gun to his head lol, and then a caption saying "take this free magazine and use the VOUCHERS or the pug gets it!"

What I need help with is A. what programs for my computer could I use to design and make my own magazine...? and B. just any advice in general would be nice because I'm new to this.

Sounds exciting!

There is plenty of free stuff out there. Wordpress is a great website platform, Gimp is a good alternative to the expensive Photoshop and Inkspace a free option instead of Illustrator. There are also plenty of templates out there for websites and the actual magazine page layout. For content, invite your readers to contribute. EzyMedia does a lot for newbies.

Yup, that's all we choose... yet another goddamn faith. what's the ingredient to faith if each and every person can pop out and start up up their very own faith on a whim? i flow to start up my very own faith day after today for individuals who hate religions.
