GoDaddy has come a long way with their hosting. They are reasonably priced and have great customer service. If your site is being built using WordPress, which I highly recommend, you might want to look at a managed WordPress host. WPEngine is excellent and I use them. Your site will be backed up daily or you can back up before you do something. You can restore to the backed up version with one click. Media Temple and SiteGround are good for WordPress sites too.

I have used Hostgator for years and have been very pleased with their service, prices, and package offerings. Haven't used anyone else, but I've never had a bad experience with these guys.

Thank you everyone but the sites all of you are preferring are a bit overpriced according to the services they are providing and the sites which i suggested are cheap as compared to them.

if any of u have any experience with waxspace hosting ( http://waxspace.com/web-hosting ) plz let me know as i like their plans and the services they are offering at their prices are really acceptable for me even though if anyone knows better one plz do tell.
