I own a small business, a cafe in Australia and its tough.

With the uncertainty of the economy, the rising petrol prices, questions of inflation and the pending date of a recession, one would have to be crazy to willingly start a new business.

If you can start one with no upfront capitol investment then do it other wise work for some one till stability sets in the economy and the minds of the population

Yes..I know of a great small business that you can do at home. You would be signing up people for health benefits. There is no selling or cold calling. The clients come to you to sign up for the benefits. There are so many people out here who do not have any health benefits. So this established company who has been in business for over 15 years, offers discounted health benefits. It is easy and the money is really good! Take a look at this website: www.freedomathometeam.com/LKBrown

and see what the company has to offer. If you are interested, click on "request an interview" and you will be contacted. Thank you and take care.

Can be....along with the bacon rolls, how about real coffee and muffins and panini's. You'll make quite a bit at markets and boot sales. People like a decent cup of coffee while out in the cold all day.

Try it at weekends, if it takes off, you can pack your job in=]

Good luck X

i started up a bouncy catle hire business. people assume its only busy in the summer but i have been just a busy throughout the winter with parties in halls ect.. it cost me £2,500.00 to buy 4 castles. i know have 10 and have bookings all through the summer already. its very profitable and easy. i just pay 2 blokes to deliver set up and then collect. after paying them and advertising, the rest is all profit.

selling hot food from a van is a good idea if you are going to go round industrial estates but there is alot of competition with a business like that and not much profit. all the best with whatever you decide to do.

I suggest starting your own home based business. Most home based business cost under $500. Some cost more depending on what it is you want to do. Most home based businesses have training programs to teach you the trade and help you get started. I don't know what you like to do, so I can only tell you what my husband and I started over six years ago and point you out to some others to take a look at. Ours well supports our family of six (we have four children). So Yes, home based businesses are very profitable.

I also created a blog on my 360 page on home based business's. There's over half a dozen different ones to take a look at. Your more then welcome to browse through them. If you find one that's interesting, contact the person who wrote it and they can point you out in the right direction.

We got involved with a 15 year old world wide company in the telecommunicatons industry. We've been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc. Inc 500 rated us the 22nd fastest growing company. They offer services that people use every day and pay for anyway, but now they can have a lower cost. Services such as local and long distance phones, Internet, digital phones, video phones (you can see the person your taking to live)VOIP, Satallite tv, and all the major cellular phone companies like Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Alltell, Nextell etc. have partnered up with them too.

How many people do you know, or know of, that uses or has one or more of these services? How would you feel if you could save people money on services that they're most likely already using, if not you can offer them the service, and everytime they pay their bills each month, you make a percentage off these bills every single month. Huge income opportunity. It's incredible how much money is involved in this industry.

If you'd like more information feel free to email me and I'll be happy to pass it along to you.

I think it is unwise to run a laundromat in north America, not in Hong Kong either. Think about the cost of the laundry and drying machines, overheads of electricity and hot water, maintenance of the the laundry equipment, the theft of the coins, and many other head ached things. There are 90% of Hong Kong small business in Hong Kong are fallen under the following category. 1) Already go bankrupt, awaiting for liquidation from the court. 2) Losing a few thousands to a million per month because of the intake of money can't balance with the outputs. Usually, these small business are actively seeking a buyer and keep away from bankruptcy. 3) Lose a little but also ocassionally earns little, just merely survive. I suggest you and your brother should go to work for a laundromat for a while and to investigate if this business is worthwhile. You and your brother should work for a small business for a while and learn little more for your targeted small business of to be your own. I think to run a small business is not that simple as you think.
