Okay i'm going to try and summarize.

I run a small business, I have all my products on a .CSV file that i view in EXCEL.

I have to update my datasheet once a week when comparing it to another data sheet {the venders datasheet}. then i have to manually adjust items such as prices, quantity, etc.

I need any software solution that will compare the 2 data sheets and update mine according to the venders data sheet. so for example, if i have a product called simply "1234", i need it to compare that same column to the venders data sheet and find "1234" and update certain fields like pricing and such to update my data sheet.

I would LOVE if there was software out there that can do this, but if not, i am willing to go the excel / access route. I need to cut down time drastically with this, and i don't want to spend all day programming excel or access?

any solutions?

You can take a look at inFlow Inventory. It is a basic inventory system that has all the esstenials.

They have an import data function that can take in CSV files.

They have a Free version that is free forever, but limits to 100 products and customers. The software itself is very easy to use and fast to install.

Here is their website:

Hope this helps!

Fishbowl Inventory would work very well in this process.

It has an import function for changing product prices that allows the vendor spreadsheet data to be loaded directly into Fishbowl so that data is automatically merged. You just need to do a simple review to make sure everything looks correct. Then import, and you're done.

I hope this helps.
