I'm looking to open a local delivery business where people can delivery only locally(across town-same day).
I would delivery only boxes, letters or packages since I only drive a car.
I don't really have a business address since I would be working out of my car basically, and I would be dressed in a button-down shirt with dress pants(Professional look)

How would I insure the customer(who I'm picking up from) that I won't steal the letter or package?
Would I give the customer a copy of my driver's license or a picture of my license plate and car.
Any advice would help, Thank you in advance!

I am going to be honest with you. Your idea is terrible. No one is going to just hand someone packages unless they are licensed, bonded, and insured. You would also need a long track record in a similar business in which you already have long established business partnerships. I would explore other options like getting your CDL and taking a local job or becoming a taxi or Uber driver.

You would have to be bonded or insured. The overhead is more than you think not to mention auto insurance costs. If you had experience in this end of the business especially management for a few years then maybe.
