I am a very experienced restaurant manager for a very big and very popular restaurant chain but after 11 years of service, I want to put my talents to work for me and a partner and team up with someone that already has an operation but does not know where to drive it next. This person could be from another profession but has invested in a restaurant or some similar situation. How do I make contact, or facilitate this person to make contact with me?

Hi I know that over 80% of restaurant are struggling to make a profit and there is plenty of medium sized restaurants who are looking for a working partner I myself have never liked the idea of a business partner . In your case you need to find a fully experience Chef who would be interested in a partnership , you should be able to find an exciting restaurant for sale, or a chief looking for a business partner in the catering press.

In most states, once divorced is filed, it is illegal to sell property owned by the couple. Anything owned with in the marriage is half or more hers. There are a lot of grey areas with that and I would not get involved with that at all. My woork out buddy's ex-husband tried to sell her house during a divorce while we were deployed. There were several ways that she could have made his life a living hell. Also, the one thing that ensures your business is successful is your reputation. You are starting out with the past owner not being honest. If he has not shared everything with you, you could be walking into a war zone and not know it. For example, has there been issues with the liquor license before? Has there been illegal activity in the restaurant before? Is it being investigated by a Federal institution? Are there thugs that are frequent visitors that want something from him? If your gut is telling you not to do it, don't do it. Have them hire you as the manager if you absolutely need work. If not, completely remove yourself from the situation. Not to mention, 5 people is pushing a slightly high number of partners for a restaurant. Is there a chain of restaurants?

If I were you, ask any of your friends if they know anyone who are restaurant owners and looking for partners or managers...Another way is, you try to make your own website and promote it! Promoting it online is a very good idea! More and more people are now depending online, and for that reason it has bigger chances that people will know about your experiences and skills and they may probably hire you...Why not give it a try???
