The best thing to do is to visit vistaprint.com, you can design and choose free business cards and have them sent to you. Also, you should be able to design business cards in Microsoft Word, another option is that you go to an office store and purchase some blank business cards and they usually come with a website with templates where you can create your own.

hello!

Selecting the right business card is quite essential to make the best first impression amongst your prospective clients

in my view the design and layout of your business card that will make it stand out and get noticed about your business.

here are some ideas that might be of use to you:

Decide the base:

don`t go for the cheap quality paper in making your business cards.

You can have eco friendly business cards made from recycled paper which look classy.

Apart from plain thick cards you can also have those made of textured paper or those having embossed stripes or checker patterns.

Un tear able paper is popularly used in making business cards.

Thinking out of the box:

card paper, rectangle shape, plain white background and a logo is what all those business cards look like, you need to have something special that will help you have a unique business card. Well, how about a metal or magnetic business card?

One of the creative business card design ideas is to use a base that speaks about your business even before your client reads out the details. Like a wooden business card can be an ideal one for a professional carpenter. Or a thick fabric, textured business card for a boutique owner? Remember to stick to the average business card dimensions, no matter how you design it.

Try out various shapes and patterns and horizontal or vertical layout. Your business card size also matters a lot.

Choosing the colour:

choose the light colour so that the text and images on your business card are clearly visible.do not go for the co lours that are too funky.

Text, Images and Layout:

Once the text and images to be added are finalized you can work on the layout. Depending on whether your card is vertical or horizontally designed, decide the layout. Accommodating the available text rightly is what the layout must do. Well, remember to add 'only' the essential text.

i hope my suggestion might be of some use to you

Having a business card is essential. Think of it as the cheapest way to network with people. Reinforce your brand image online and offline (this is something that I can't stress enough). A business card helps you pass on your information quickly and in some cases it's the first impression someone has of you. You can also leave them (with permission) around town or in shops that let businesses post up stuff.

If you go to the following company, me friend did a custom design for them (Vistaprint was just too generic in their situation). Anyway, the design was relatively the same as the "24/7 Emergency Image" that you see on the homepage. She ended up using the same background and fonts.

So your options are:

1. If you know how to use photoshop and are good at it, design the cards yourself.

2. If you want to save money and not design the cards, use a generic template on a site like Vistaprint.

3. If you want (and what I recommend if you already started to build your brand image... ie. you have a website and print ads already), contact a designer to recreate a design that flows with everything else that you have.

The cheapest way to do your own cards is on microsoft word or works. Im sure that you have these programs, and then go to wallmart and buy like 5000 bussiness card for like $10 and then just print it .. That is the cheapest way..
