How do I start my own online business?

Why is it so hard to start an online business? All I want to do is work for myself, generate income for my family, and work from home. Of course I would LOVE to make millions of dollars, BUT, I would be 100% happy just making a decent income working from home while keeping my kids with me. Can someone help me? I don't want or need any scammy advice, just real, honest help. I've been trying for 4 years to start something and nothing seems to work, or it makes me a little money and then stops. I know how to create my own website, I know about social marketing (or at least enough I think), I know a fair amount about SEO, but I think maybe I just can't find the right niche? I also can't seem to get my websites out there enough, so I obviously don't know enough! HELP!!

Just keep brushing up on what you've learned in SMO and SEO - the tactics change daily and take a lot of hard work and time to master.



And I think the key for you at this point is finding the right niche. I do know of people promoting bogus content and making decent money off of it but I think the true earning potential is behind fields that you truly care about.



Take Zen Habits - one of the most popular blogs on the planet written by a guy who didn't want to settle for just another job and paychek and decided to do what he truly wanted, and at this point he is fully immersed into his blog and I am sure money is a non-issue for him at this point in time.



Bottom line: experiment with the niches but if there is some field that you are morally or ethically opposed to, or not enjoying a tall - don't do it. Online is a great place for such experiments. I wish you luck.

I am not the most savvy out there, but yes you should add some Adsense, get to a good company that can help you out, and Instead of Adsense which is not bad, you should go with CPA. Cost Per Action, there is people making thousands of dollars daily. But don't get blind with that expression, but it is not that difficult to make money, plus they have Affiliate Managers that can grab you by the hand and help you out.
