Hi all!

I am trying to register a domain name, but not sure where to register it? I found a couple of really cheap ones which I think are really good value, but not sure which is better at service and if they provide free DOMAIN NAME PRIVACY on the WHOIS website???

Here are the ones I'm considering:

1. GoDaddy.com - $6.95/year and they're offering loads of other free stuff as well but I'm not sure how much they charge for private domain registration as I didn't see it mentioned on their website...

2. Netfirms.com - $4.95/year plus free email and free domain name privacy on WHOIS website but not sure if their service is good and the cheap price is a bit suspicious...don't know

3. FXdomains.com - $7.85/year and they're also offering loads of free stuff with it just like GoDaddy are but they're $0.90 more expensive than GoDaddy, plus they've got sale for private domain registration for $1.95/year but I'm not sure if this will go up on your second year as it's sale now.

Please tell me if you know any other good registars that are good value like these ones and why you would you recommend it? Or maybe is GoDaddy good enough and I'm being too choosy? I would very much like to know your opinion on this.

Thank you very much!

GoDaddy is fine and is the most famous one I know of. It's recommended by lots of gurus. You might look at namecheap. They have some great special rates now & then on the dot-info (.info) domain names. I got one there a few weeks ago for only $2.98, including privacy on WhoIs. However, as far as I've ever seen, their dot-com domains are always about the same price, $8.88 I think.

I have my domain registered with ukreg they are really good and the prices are good to. a .co.uk costs £2.95 for a year and a .com cost £8.89 and you get lots of free stuff with the service as well. The website if you want to have a look is www.ukreg.com. They are one of the uk biggest and i would say the best.
