I have a great idea for a website in the employment field. I am already in that line of business but I want to start a website independently. Something like the Craigslist template but with more features. Where do I start? And what options do I have?

Don't sweat yourself. I eventually have my own website made by www.informde.com, that was the right decision. People around you might keep saying that "Nah... website! you could do it by yourself, everyone can make it themselves nowadays" True but not totally true. I once thought about creating a good-looking well-functioning marketplace website. I used free website builder services which couldn't give me the exact result I wanted, thought big but turned out ended so little.

You have to realize of how many websites are live in the world wide web out there, gazillion of them if I might exaggerate. Starting from deciding which web hosting company is reliable and good enough, and etc etc. Well long story short, if you have a few bucks to spend, go to the professional so you don't have to waste time and energy, only waiting for money to flow in.

To host your internet site, one of the most fine hosts might such a lot proberly be HostGator or Fat Cow. Both are a well option however HostGator might be the fine individually If you're watching on registering your area to, then cross with Godaddy, there present satisfactory help and are not to pricey both.

You need to first buy a domain name for your site. This is the site address that starts with www. They sell them cheaply at sites such as GoDaddy.com.

Then you need to host your website. Companies on the internet sell hosting. This is space on the internet (your pages on their server (a large hard disk computer)) for your web pages so they can be viewed 24 hours a day on the web.

Design your page. You can get ideas for design from other people's pages on the internet and even copy their source code. Then use software to build the pages of your site, like Front Page.

You will need software to upload your web pages to the hosting server. This can be found free on the internet. I think one is called Core.

Finally, register your site with search engines such as google.com.

Advertise it.

If you know many languages, why not be a translator of any documents, publications, etc
