Call you local "Small Business Administration" also look for another one called "SCORE" You can get some free help and ASK about any GRANTS that may be available to you. Sometimes, if you start a business in a Rural area the Government may give you a Grant (FREE Money) to help the economic conditions of a rural area. Good Luck.

Oh! I get $50 an hour/minimum for Business Consultation. This took me 5 minutes so that be $50 you owe me. I take cash or kisses your choice. :-p

P.S. The Small Business Administration requires you try 3 loan sources and if you get turned down and have a business plan they will loan the money, I THINK that how they do it, but, ASK.

Well, there are government programs geared specifically for women. If you go through the SBA, they don't actually lend money. You still have to go to a bank that work with the SBA for the loan. The SBA gives a guaranty, usually up to 80% of the loan value. The bank still considers your credit, your business plan and your assets before giving you the loan. There are grants out there available for women for business start-ups as well. These can take some time to research and obtain, but would be worth it. Here is a title and author of a book I found on Amazon.com that may be able to help.

Directory Of Financial Aids For Women 2005-2007: A List Of: Scholarships, Fellowships, Loans, Grants, Awards, And Internships Available Primarily Or Exclusively ... (Directory of Financial Aids for Women) (Hardcover)

The government doesn't actually MAKE loans, they GUARANTEE them. The loan will come from an SBA lender. The largest SBA lender in America is Bank of America.

There are many programs to help fund your business through loans and grants. I would suggest that you check with Bank of America as a starting point for an SBA loan.
