Little background: I have little software shop (20+ developers) providing services for clients from various countries. My developers are mainly contractors - working remotely, from different time zones and countries.
Things I would expect from ideal software tool(s):
1. Interview (not recruitment) support - I have list of standard questions, would be great to have a tool which would let me to score how candidate answered each question and then browse through the results. I don't need recruitment software which posts job offers across internet.
2. Invoicing tool - with superb customization of invoice templates. I need to support multiple currencies, VAT, additional comments and infos on the invoice. Surprisingly with huge number of existing accounting/invoicing software I didn't find one flexible enough for cross-country businesses.
3. Time tracking/reporting tool for existing developers - ideally with invoice generator.
4. Tool for internal communication with contractors - chat, documents storage, discussions. Ideally - integrating with code repositories, testing/continuous integration software, etc. Google+ for Business or Basecamp are close to what I need here.
In ideal world would be good, if all tools could use same storage - as example integrate with Google Apps for Business and save files in Google Drive.
That's a long question - I know. Hope to hear what you recommend and what tools are you using in your companies.
