I have been in the process of setting up an online Card company selling Greeting cards for some months. I am using monstercommerce and once we launch in March 2007 will be in direct competition with moonpig.com and other Greeting Card retailer such as cornercardshop.com
Evidently as the director of our company I feel there is sufficient market for several greeting card retailers. Would you buy from us and if not is it because you have developed a sense of brand loyalty with our competitors?

Hi - I wouldnt buy from you as I make all my own cards and have my own online greetings cards business! I think that handmade cards are becoming bigger and bigger (so to speak!) and youll not only be in competition with people like Clintons (or their online counterpart) but also handmade greetings cards. Good luck tho, it takes a real tough cookie to get your own business started! Bxx

It's very difficult, it would depend on your designs and how they influence your audience. Baring in mind there are so many cards on the market, what is going to make your cards stand out? How will we know your company exists, where will we get to see a sample of your cards, how will your buyers get to you in the first place?

it all depends on the range and quality of your greeting cards. if you got a vast range of quality cards then people will have a look and buy. i wouldn't say there's a loyalty but people are afraid of change, even in the greeting card industry. so if you can offer them a greater range of quality cards, you're in there.. also try set up shop on places like Ebay, there's millions of people on there every day...
