E- business advice needed?

Hi everyone, can somebody please advice me on what i need to do, i own online business in Barbados, but right now I'm planning on moving my business to USA (I'm going on immigrant visa) i need advice on what to do as per registering business in USA, Do i need to register online business with the government or what do i need to do in order to continue my business when i get there. please advice needed. business website. www.amtglobaltech.com

Registering a business depends on the particular location you decide to settle in. Some places want you to have a physical location before they'll sell you a business license. Also, the particular procedure you need to follow depends on what type of business you have; retail, wholesale, new/used goods, food service, etc.



A Net business might not need a license at all; you'll need to check that too.

You would probably need to register you business by obtainig a business license or changing your current one if possible. You will also need to obtain a tax ID.



Other than that, I'm really not sure b/c i don't own a business. But if you look it up on the state your moving too's website, and look for a link for small businesses there should be something there to help you. It should end in a .gov

businesses are usually registered at the state (sales tax - and incorporation if applicable) and local level, so wherever you settle - search online for registering business in the state and find you cities town hall/business office for local licensing
